A guest house needs the car gate, the reception desk with a face-height entry view, corridor landings, the parking and the service door. Rooms are never covered. Damage claims, missing-item claims and billing disputes tend to land days or weeks after checkout, often through a booking platform. What CCTV does a guest house need?
Are cameras allowed inside guest rooms?
No — never in rooms or washrooms, and never angled to see into them from corridors. Public areas with signage are the legitimate scope, and any installer offering otherwise should be shown the gate.
Can the owner watch remotely while off-site?
Yes. Owner and manager get separate app logins with viewing rights, and export stays with the owner. Plenty of Islamabad guest-house owners run two or three properties from one phone this way.
