CCTV for shops and marts
A shop needs four cameras: one over the cash counter, one at the entrance mounted at face height, one down the shelving run and one on the stock-room or delivery door. In Islamabad a 4-camera 2MP package installed costs PKR 55,000–85,000, and thirty days of recording covers a monthly stock check.

The counter camera earns its keep
Point one camera at the counter so it sees the customer, the notes changing hands and the drawer. Most disputes a shopkeeper ever needs footage for happen in that half-metre. Mount it high enough to clear heads but close enough to read denominations — roughly 2.5 metres, angled down. A monitor at the counter showing the feed also changes behaviour before anything is taken.
Face height at the door
A dome flat on the ceiling records hairlines. The entrance camera should sit around two metres, looking slightly down the door line, so every person who walks in leaves a usable face frame. In markaz plazas the doorway often opens onto a shared corridor — angle the camera to keep the frame inside your own premises rather than filming the neighbouring shop's customers.
Thirty days, sized honestly
Shortages usually surface at the monthly stock count, not on the day, so retention shorter than a month means checking footage that has already been overwritten. Four 2MP cameras recording on motion fit comfortably on a 1TB drive for thirty days. If your distributor reconciles fortnightly you can trade retention for a cheaper drive — but decide that at the survey, not after a loss.
What CCTV does a shop need?
How many cameras does a mart need compared to a small shop?
A single-room shop is covered properly with four. A mart with aisles needs one camera per aisle plus the counter and doors — usually eight, from around PKR 145,000 installed. More than that in a mart is normally selling cameras, not solving a problem.
Do you charge for a shop survey in Islamabad?
No. Surveys are free anywhere in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. We measure the cable runs, confirm where the recorder can be locked away and give an itemised quote before any drilling is discussed with the plaza management.
Rather have it done?
Business CCTV is built around the counter, the entrance, the stock area and the back door, with storage long enough to catch problems you only notice at stocktake. Systems for Islamabad marts, pharmacies, schools and offices start at PKR 85,000, and can tie into access control and your point of sale.
