CCTV for cold storage
A cold store needs the loading dock, each chamber door filmed from the warm side, the plant room and the gate. Cameras inside chambers must be rated for the temperature or they fog and fail. Temperature alarms go in on the same visit, because a failed chiller costs more than any theft.

Film the chamber door, not the chamber
Most questions are answered by who entered which chamber and when, which a camera on the warm side of the door records without ever facing condensation. Where a view inside is genuinely needed, the choice is a low-temperature-rated unit or a lens through a viewing panel — an ordinary dome inside a chamber mists over within days.
The alarm that matters is thermal
A compressor tripping on a summer night destroys stock silently. Temperature sensors in each chamber wired to an SMS or app alert are the highest-value item in the building, and they share the installation visit with the cameras. Stores serving the I-11 fruit and vegetable market run fullest in exactly the June heat, when a chiller works hardest.
Keep the recorder warm and dry
The recorder lives in the office — never a chamber, and not the plant room, which is the dampest, warmest corner of the site. Thirty days of retention is the norm, with the dock camera on continuous recording through receiving hours so weight and crate-count disputes can be checked against the gate pass.
What CCTV does a cold store need?
Will a normal camera survive inside a chiller?
No. It fogs, then the electronics fail. The workable options are a camera rated for the chamber temperature or one mounted outside looking through a panel, and the survey settles which fits your chambers.
Can I get a phone alert if a chamber warms up?
Yes, and for a cold store it is the most important thing we fit. Sensors with SMS or app alerts cost a small fraction of one chamber of spoiled stock.
Rather have it done?
Business CCTV is built around the counter, the entrance, the stock area and the back door, with storage long enough to catch problems you only notice at stocktake. Systems for Islamabad marts, pharmacies, schools and offices start at PKR 85,000, and can tie into access control and your point of sale.
