What every plan includes
Lens cleaning and refocusing, proof that footage is being written — checked by pulling recordings, not by watching the live view — drive health read from the recorder's diagnostics, the app and remote access tested, passwords and user accounts reviewed, and a written note of what was found. Plan clients also jump the call-out queue, which through June heat and after monsoon storms decides whether you are seen the same day or the following week.
What separates Business from Basic
Frequency and depth. Quarterly visits instead of twice-yearly, cover for systems beyond eight cameras and across more than one branch, call-out labour included between visits rather than charged, and a larger discount on replacement parts. A pharmacy with two locations or an office that depends on its footage daily outgrows Basic quickly; a single shop with four cameras rarely does.
What no plan includes
Replacement hardware. A failed drive or camera is billed with the plan discount applied, and the price is shown before fitting. An AMC is scheduled maintenance plus priority labour — it is not an insurance policy, and a plan sold as covering everything is priced to cover nothing. We would rather draw that line clearly at signing than argue about it at a failure.
Which CCTV AMC plan should I choose?
Which plan suits a single shop?
Basic, almost always. Two proper visits a year catch the quiet failures — dirty lenses, a dying drive, recording that stopped — and PKR 15,000 is small against finding out during an incident.
Am I locked in?
No. Plans renew yearly and cancel at renewal. Your equipment is yours regardless — leaving a plan changes who maintains the system, never whether it keeps working.
Rather have it done?
CCTV maintenance is a scheduled check that your cameras still focus, your recorder still writes, your hard drive still has life in it and your phone app still logs in. Monsoon humidity and summer heat are what quietly kill Islamabad systems. Annual cover for a shop or house starts at PKR 15,000.
