Biometric attendance without the monthly argument
A biometric terminal records each arrival and departure by fingerprint or face, applies your shift, grace and leave rules, and produces a monthly sheet nobody can argue with. For a team of ten or more it typically pays for itself in the first payroll cycle by ending disputed timings and proxy punching.

Most attendance friction comes from reconstruction: the register was signed later, the manager remembers differently, the rickshaw broke down. A punch made at the door at 9:07 is not a memory, and once staff know the record is automatic, timekeeping tightens on its own within the first month. Managers stop policing arrivals, and the monthly negotiation over late marks largely disappears.
Set the rules to match how you actually work
The terminal is the easy half; the configuration is where the value lives. Grace minutes before a late mark, half-day thresholds, overtime rounding, the Friday prayer break and shortened Ramadan hours all need to be entered so the sheet mirrors your actual policy. Skip that step and the software prints raw punches somebody still has to interpret by hand — which is the exact chore you bought the machine to remove.
Fingerprint, face or card — match the workforce
Office staff enrol on fingerprints without trouble. Workshop hands with worn or oily fingertips fail reads often enough to cause queues and resentment, so mechanics, kitchens and labour-heavy sites do better on face recognition or cards. For schools and academies moving hundreds of people through a gate, face terminals win purely on speed. Good systems allow a card or PIN fallback for the few individuals a sensor never reads cleanly.

Not with fingerprint or face — that is the whole point, and ending proxy punching is usually the single change that pays for the terminal.
Does it work during load-shedding?
Terminals carry small internal batteries and store punches locally, syncing when power and network return. Nothing is lost in a routine IESCO outage.
