Number plate camera cost in Islamabad

PKR 120,000 to 200,000 per lane is a realistic installed budget in Islamabad for number plate capture — the dedicated ANPR camera, a mount at the correct offset, its own infra-red and the recorder-side plate reading. A scene camera for the same gate and barrier integration are priced on top of that.

Why it costs several times a normal camera

Plate reading demands a narrow field of view, a fast shutter and its own infra-red, aimed close to head-on at a fixed distance from the lane — which usually means its own post or bracket positioned for the geometry, not clamped wherever is convenient. A general gate camera pointed at traffic will record that a car passed; it will not reliably read the plate, whatever the brochure implies.

Where it pays around the capital

Housing society and Bahria or DHA phase gates, where the committee's questions always start with which vehicle entered and when. A whitelist that raises the barrier for residents' plates, a searchable entry log in the guard room, and remote access for named committee members are the pieces that turn the camera's cost into an answer.

Budget per lane, not per gate

One plate camera covers one lane while holding the angle and shutter that reading requires. A two-lane gate therefore needs two ANPR units in addition to the scene camera — and that arithmetic, put plainly at survey, is usually where a committee settles whether plate recognition justifies its budget. Better to decide it there than after the first camera disappoints.

How much does an ANPR camera cost in Islamabad?

Will it read plates at night?

Yes — the dedicated infra-red and fast shutter exist precisely for that, with headlight glare handled by positioning. Fancy scripts, damage and heavy weathering all cut the read rate, which is why we run a live test at your own gate before quoting.

Can plate recognition raise the barrier by itself?

For plates on the resident whitelist, yes, with a remote or keypad kept as the manual backup. The camera and the gate motor have to be specified together, which is why we quote them as one job.

Rather have it done?

CCTV installation means a free survey of your shop, office or home, a camera plan that covers gates, counters and blind corners, cabling run through conduit, a recorder sized for the days of footage you want, and phone viewing working before handover. A four-camera 2MP package in Islamabad or Rawalpindi runs PKR 55,000 to 85,000 fitted.
