Sliding or swing: the plot decides
Sliding motors need level ground and clear wall length for the gate to travel along; swing motors fit narrower frontages but need the arc kept clear. On the sloped plots common in Bahria Town and DHA, a swing gate fights gravity and a slide usually wins. This is a survey decision made with a tape measure at the gate, not a catalogue decision made in a shop.
Safety and load-shedding are specified, not hoped for
Two lines in the quote matter more than the motor brand. First, the photocell safety beam that halts the gate on a child, a cat or a bumper — never economise there. Second, outage behaviour: a manual release key lets you open the gate by hand, and a battery pack buys a set number of cycles through an IESCO outage. Both should be written down before booking, not discovered in the dark.

At society gates and busy compounds, a number plate camera takes over from the fob: plates on the resident whitelist raise the barrier automatically and every entry is logged against footage.
