Night vision tested at your distances
An infra-red rating on a box is measured in a lab, not across your driveway. We check what each camera resolves at night at the actual distance — sector streets with lighting behave very differently from darker society plots.

The recorder goes inside the house in a lockable spot, never in the porch or garage where it would be the first thing taken. A small UPS keeps it recording through outages and voltage dips.

Questions people ask
What happens to the cameras when the power goes?
Without backup, recording simply stops — which is precisely when you want it running. Outages in Islamabad are shorter than upcountry but they still happen, and voltage dips are routine. A small UPS on the recorder and cameras keeps everything alive for an hour or more, and we include one in most home quotes.
Can a camera watch the street outside my gate?
It can, within reason. Angle it to cover your own frontage and approach rather than a neighbour's door or windows — that keeps the peace on the street and keeps the footage useful. During the survey we set angles that capture who came to your gate without surveilling anyone else's house.
We might shift houses next year. Does the system move with us?
The cameras, recorder and drive all move; only the cabling stays behind. A re-installation at the new house costs a fraction of a new system, mostly fresh cable and labour. If a move is likely, say so at the survey and we will cable in a way that makes the takedown easy.
