Questions people ask
My phone app stopped showing the cameras. Do I need a new system?
Very unlikely. This almost always follows an internet change — a new router, a switch from PTCL to fibre, a different WiFi password — which breaks the link between recorder and app. The cameras are still recording locally. A reconfiguration visit restores remote viewing without replacing anything.
The recorder keeps beeping. What is it trying to say?
Usually that a hard drive is failing or full, or a channel has dropped. Muting the beep and carrying on is how people discover, months later, that nothing was being recorded. Treat the beep as the system asking for help and have it looked at promptly.
Can deleted or overwritten footage be recovered?
Honestly: once the recorder has overwritten it, it is gone — no software brings it back. If the drive itself failed, recovery is sometimes possible. Either way, stop recording immediately and unplug the drive, because every hour the system keeps writing reduces what can be saved.
