What chip-level board repair costs
Bench inspection is PKR 3,000, deducted from the repair. Straightforward board work such as a charging circuit or a power rail component runs PKR 6,000. Complex faults — liquid damage across several rails, a failed controller needing a scarce part — run PKR 12,000 to 25,000.

Repair against replacement, with both numbers
For most laptops a replacement board costs several times a board repair, and for older models it is not available at all. We quote the repair against the cost of a replacement board and, where relevant, against a replacement machine — so the comparison is in front of you rather than being made on your behalf.
What determines where in the range a job sits
How many rails are affected, whether the failed component is common or scarce, and whether the fault has a root cause upstream that also needs addressing. A single failed component on one rail is the bottom of the range; liquid damage that has attacked tracks across a board is the top of it.
Why inspection is priced separately
Board diagnosis means measuring rails in sequence against the board's own schematic, which takes real bench time before any repair figure can exist. Board work quoted without that is component-swapping, and it is why so many boards arrive here having already been 'repaired' once elsewhere.
When we say no
Some boards are not worth repairing and some are not repairable — extensive liquid corrosion, or damage from a previous attempt that lifted pads. We say so after inspection rather than starting work and discovering it. A board damaged during a failed repair is a board nobody can fix afterwards.
How much does motherboard repair cost?
Is board repair cheaper than a new motherboard?
Almost always, and often by a large multiple — a replacement board for a laptop is a significant part of the machine's value, where a component-level repair addresses the single thing that failed. For older models the replacement board frequently is not available at any price, which makes repair the only route.
Will a repaired board fail again?
Not if the root cause was found rather than only the failed component. A capacitor that failed because a controller upstream is out of tolerance will fail again in months if only the capacitor is changed. That is why we trace the cause and burn boards in under load for hours before returning them.
The board got wet. Is it worth inspecting?
Often, and speed matters enormously — corrosion continues while the board sits. A board brought in within days has a decent chance; the same board after a month in a drawer usually does not. The PKR 3,000 inspection gives you a real answer rather than a guess either way.
Rather have it done?
Chip-level repair fixes the board itself — power rails, charging circuits, failed components — instead of replacing it. It is the difference between a PKR 12,000 repair and a PKR 60,000 board, and it starts with a schematic and a meter rather than with guesswork. Bench inspection is PKR 3,000.
