Solar inverter and panel repair in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

When a solar system stops producing, the fault is usually the inverter, a string connector or a tripped protection device rather than the panels themselves. Diagnosis in Islamabad or Rawalpindi starts at PKR 5,000, taken off the bill if you go ahead with the repair.

Read the inverter log before opening anything

Modern inverters record why they stopped — insulation fault, grid out of range, over-temperature, string fault. Reading that log first turns a day of testing into an hour of checking one circuit, and it is the step most callouts skip.

Test the DC side string by string

Open-circuit voltage and insulation resistance per string, compared against the commissioning sheet where one exists. A single string reading low locates the problem to a run of panels or a connector rather than condemning the array.

Quote a fixed figure before working

Once the cause is known you get one price to put it right. Where a tired inverter out of warranty is better replaced than repaired, we say so with the numbers rather than billing for a repair that will not hold through the summer.

Fix, re-commission and record

After the repair the system is re-commissioned properly — string voltages, output, inverter settings — and the new figures go on your record beside the originals, so the next fault has a fresh baseline to work from.

What the price covers. PKR 5,000 is the callout and diagnosis inside Islamabad or Rawalpindi, deducted from the bill if you proceed. Parts are quoted before fitting. An inverter repair that needs a board-level fix goes to the H-15 bench and is quoted after inspection there.

Questions people ask

My system stopped overnight. Is a panel dead?

Almost never. Panels are the most reliable part of a solar system and rarely fail as a group. A whole system stopping at once points at the inverter, an AC breaker, or a DC isolator that has tripped — all of which are quick to check and cheap to fix compared with anything on the roof.

Is it worth repairing an inverter or should I replace it?

It depends on age and what failed. A fan, a sensor or a communication board is worth fixing on almost any inverter. A failed power stage on a unit that is already years past warranty usually is not — you spend a large fraction of a new inverter on a machine with the rest of its components equally aged. We give you both numbers and let you choose.

Do you work on systems somebody else installed?

Yes, and a good part of this work is exactly that. What slows it down is the absence of a commissioning sheet, because without original string voltages we are measuring against expectation rather than against what the system actually did on day one. We record proper figures at the end of our visit so the next fault is easier.
