We compare current output against your commissioning baseline before touching anything. That comparison separates dust from a genuine fault — a whole array down proportionally is dirt, one string down is electrical, and washing the second one changes nothing.

Wash properly, early, with the right water

Soft brush and clean water, early morning while the glass is cool. Cold water on hot glass risks thermal shock, and hard water leaves a mineral film that shades the panel worse than the dust did. No abrasives and no pressure washer near the frame seals.

Check what the wash cannot fix

Connector condition, cable ties that have perished in the sun, structure bolts, earthing continuity and any hot spots visible on the back sheet. Rooftop wiring in this climate ages faster than the panels do, and this is the visit where it gets caught.

Record the after figure

Output is measured again after the clean and written on the visit record alongside the before figure. Over a few visits that record tells you whether the array is degrading or simply getting dirty, which is a question no single visit can answer.

What the price covers. PKR 6,000 covers a clean and check for a domestic array up to about 5kW inside Islamabad or Rawalpindi. Larger rooftops run to PKR 15,000. Two visits a year is the usual pattern here — once after the dust season and once after the monsoon — and an annual arrangement prices below single visits.

Questions people ask

How often does an array here actually need cleaning?

Twice a year suits most rooftops in the twin cities — once after the dry dusty months and once after the monsoon, which leaves a fine film rather than washing panels clean the way people expect. A site near construction, a main road or open ground needs more. Your own generation figures are the honest guide.

Can I just wash them myself?

You can, and if you are comfortable on the roof, do it — soft brush, clean water, early morning, never a pressure washer near the seals. What a self-wash misses is the electrical half: connectors, perished ties, structure bolts and the inverter log. Those are what turn into a fault, and they are most of the reason the visit exists.

My output dropped but the panels look clean. What now?

That is an electrical fault rather than a dirt problem, and it usually shows as one string down while the rest performs normally. We compare string voltages against the commissioning sheet, read the inverter log and work back from there. This is exactly why that commissioning sheet matters — without a baseline, a slow decline is invisible.
