Phone viewing has stopped
A changed internet connection breaks remote viewing more than anything else — a new router, a switch of provider, or a reset that wiped the settings. The recorder keeps recording the whole time; it has only lost its route to the outside world. Check whether its network page shows it online before blaming the app.

Step 1: confirm recording is unaffected
Start at the recorder: open playback there before touching the phone. Remote viewing and recording are separate jobs, and in almost every one of these cases the footage has been landing on the drive the entire time the phone showed nothing. Knowing that takes the panic out of the fault — what is broken is convenience, not coverage, and you can fix it without racing.
Step 2: test WiFi and mobile data separately
Open the app on the premises WiFi, then again with WiFi off, on mobile data. Working on WiFi but not on data means the recorder is fine on the local network and the failure is in the path from outside — the part a router change destroys. Failing on both narrows it to the recorder's own network settings or the service it registers with.
Step 3: reconnect the recorder to the new network
A replaced router hands out different addresses, so the recorder needs its network settings redone and its cloud or port configuration re-checked. Where the recorder is reachable we often complete this remotely; where the connection itself changed, a short visit sorts it. Ask for a fixed address for the recorder while it is being done, so the next router restart does not repeat the fault.
Why can I no longer see my cameras on my phone?
Can this be fixed without a site visit?
Often, yes. If the recorder is still reachable from outside we reconfigure it remotely. When the internet connection itself was replaced, someone has to be in front of the router once.
Did I lose the footage from the days it was down?
No. Local recording carried on regardless, so everything from that period is sitting on the drive waiting for you.
