Stop using the drive, then image it
The first thing we do is take a sector-level image and work only on the copy. Every recovery attempt on the original risks the remaining data, and a drive that is clicking gets fewer chances the more it is powered on. If you have brought it in still running, we take that seriously.
Assess and tell you what is really there
The assessment reports which files are recoverable and in what condition, before you spend anything on the recovery itself. A straight answer that half the folder is gone is worth more than an optimistic quote followed by a disappointing result.
Recover logically, or escalate honestly
Deleted files, formatted volumes and corrupted partitions are recovered from the image at our bench. Physical failures — head crashes, seized motors — need a cleanroom, and we say so and quote for that route rather than opening a platter drive on a workshop bench, which destroys it.
Deliver verified, and fix why it happened
Recovered data goes onto fresh media and you open your own files before you pay. Then we set up a backup that would have prevented this, because a recovery without that conversation just books the next one.

Questions people ask
The drive is clicking. Should I keep trying?
No — switch it off and bring it in. A clicking drive is heads contacting the platter, and every power-on causes more damage to the surface holding your data. People routinely reduce a recoverable drive to an unrecoverable one by retrying it a dozen times hoping it will mount. The first attempt has the best odds; make it count.
Can you recover from a ransomware attack?
Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the variant and on what else exists. Shadow copies, an untouched backup or an unencrypted archive on other media are the realistic routes. Decrypting modern ransomware without the key is not something we or anyone else can promise, and we will tell you that on day one rather than billing you to find out.
Is anything guaranteed?
The assessment is honest, and we do not charge for a recovery that fails. What nobody can guarantee is the outcome — a drive with surface damage across the region holding your files may simply not give them back. Any service promising certain recovery before seeing the drive is selling you something they cannot know.
